The most common phones that are based on DECT technology are Cordless Phones. DECT phones consist of a base station and usually a single handset. But today, multiple handsets phones are also available in the market. The working of a DECT phone is very simple. It consists of a base station, which is the main component of a DECT phone, and is directly connected to a Phone Line. The other component is the headset. When a base station receives a call, it covert the incoming electrical signal into radio signals. These radio signals are then converted into human understandable signal that is voice, using a decoder.

DECT phones provide many features to the user so as to make conversation easier an enjoyable.
